EDM Technician/Programmer

$17.00 – $19.00 per hour based on experience

At Special Metal Stamping (SMS) (https://specialmetalstamping.com/) we have experience in blanking and forming super alloys (metal alloys like Nickel and Cobolt) as well as steel, stainless, aluminum, and brass. Customers have picked SMS because we can make stampings that others can’t – we pride ourselves on our innovation and creativity. We have been growing each year and are looking to add to our committed team.

Not only do we make parts to our customer’s prints but we have also developed a patented product, Even Mix™, a mixing blade for pails, 55 gallon containers, and IBC’s (approximately 300 gallons). It’s groundbreaking and growing quickly with sales to a variety of industries. Our team is taking this product into production to meet our customers increasing needs. If you identify with our core values and want to grow with our business please consider joining us as an EDM Technician/Programmer for the First Shift. The EDM Technician/Programmer is responsible for performing tasks such as:

  • Setup and Operate Wire EDM Machine (Hitachi and Sodick experience a plus)
  • Familiar with M & G Code
  • Programming Experience (Bobcad experience a plus)
  • Experience in a Tool and Die Environment Preferred

Our successful candidate will have 5 years’ experience and have own tools. He or she will have manufacturing experience in stamping or other metals-based manufacturing operations, and excellent communication skills. Please send your resume to info@specialmetalstamping.com!

Machine Operator / Assembler

$9.00 – $11.00 per hour based on experience

If you identify with our core values and want to grow with our business please consider joining us as a Machine Operator/Assembler for the First Shift. The Machine Operator/Assembler is responsible for performing tasks such as:

  • Basic QC inspection skills, both visual and technical
  • Good communication skills
  • Maintain required quality control checks throughout shift
  • Maintain clean work area and help others maintain clean area
  • Complete all necessary documentation correctly and timely, including data cards and any other necessary documentation
  • Perform rework and sorting as required

Requirements for Machine Operator/Assembler

  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
  • Must have previous manufacturing experience
  • Experience with rivet machine a plus
